Contax Zeiss 28mm f2.8: The natural lens

I stumbled upon the wonder of Contax Zeiss lenses by pure chance. A little over two years ago I purchased my Sony a7ii and as a college student at the time, I didn’t have much money. After shuffling though vintage minolta, canon, and nikon lenses, I found myself wanting something more, something that could rival modern lenses at the cost of autofocus. Not aware of the online photography community at the time, I headed down to my local camera shop and spent some time talking to some of the specialists in the film photography section. They unanimously recommended Contax Yashica Zeiss lenses. So I picked one up in my favorite focal length at the time, 28mm, in mint condition.
